As a county hospital, we faced numerous challenges in collecting consistent and accurate registration and revenue recognition information especially in the level 1 trauma center.  American Healthcare Solutions, Inc. organized an executive level steering committee that met weekly for one hour and led us in addressing and resolving revenue cycle issues. Prior to the project Holy Cross Health System had disparate financial information systems that made it difficult to collect and manage financial information across a billion dollar organization.  With American Healthcare Solutions, Inc. leadership and guidance, we recognized that the most important aspect of the project was to select and implement a solution that would provide all of the stakeholders including corporate and the member organizations the information they needed.  After a highly competitive bidding and contracting process we selected Peoplesoft financials – the right solution for Holy Cross to run on a central data center with a common chart of accounts for the entire health system.  This solution has proven to save millions of dollars in on going support and management at the same time giving management the information that they need.
